Bridges Community Church passed out over 1,000 lbs of candy and hosted 1,500 people on Friday night. You could find the Shull family in one of those cars at the back of the picture.
Per family tradition, we donned our themed costumes.
I will do it for as long as my boys will let me get away with it. This year we were lucky enough to have Uncle Kent join the party. He was a good sport wearing the Mr. Incredible outfit, even though it was a few inches too short. He added shorts so he didn't scare the kids. Good call.
We landed on Super Heroes as our theme when Liam decided he wanted to be Batman. Then about a week later a family friend passed down Spider man to Liam. Free costume vs. making/buying one= free costume. Liam wanted nothing to do with spider man until Ryan brainwashed convinced him by showing him YouTube videos of how "cool" spider man is. Next thing I knew Liam was running down the hall yelling, "I want to be spider man for Halloween!" Done.
I had to make a mask. I heart pinterest.
Little A's costume was an obvious choice. Captain America has an A on his mask and he carries a shield. I found his costume for $12 at Target. Sold. Plus the little muscles are pretty cute.
This was the first time that Liam and Nora didn't have similar costumes. Once you're 4
it's hard to please both a little girl and a little boy. We easily could have
done Toy Story with Nora, but Liam wanted nothing of it. It's hard to compete with
super powers.
