Pumpkin Patch

The seasonal changes of fall changes something inside of me. I hunker down, bake more, long for opportunities to stay indoors and snuggle. I also dig all things pumpkin: bread, muffins, lattes. It's all the rage now and I jumped right into that trend with both feet.
We were able to check our annual pumpin patch trip off the family list on a day-off for Ryan. Other than school field trip kids, the farm was basically ours. I learned a few lessons about how NOT to handle my own students on a field trip, but besides that nusaince, it was a hit.

My children were THE most uncooperative little children for the camera. Not intersted in stopping the activities to pose for Mama. But there's just something about the orange pumpkins that CALLS my name. I NEED pictures. I need them.

Two pictures out of about three thousand that are passible. Not great. But when dealing with little peoples you get what you get.

Somehow we did end up with this beauty. Liam actually smiled. On our way home I asked him why he smiled for the stranger who took the picture. Matter of factly, he said, "The man told me to smile." What had I been doing for the last hour?

A couple pics of Little A

And a few of the Monkey Man
