I celebrated my big 3-0 this October and it was grand.
My licence expired and I got my new one in the mail this week. Here is the difference 10 years makes. The funny thing is both times I went to the DMV I wore my glasses but took them off for the photograph. Both times I realized, it's hard to know where to look when you can't see anything. Note to self: in 2022 don't wear glasses to renew your licence.

Ryan made a big deal of celebrating me all week long. He knows I dig a good birthday party and he really hit the ball out of the park this year.
I got in my car on Tuesday with this on my steering wheel. Pretty cute. Made me smile.
Then on Wednesday he made an awesome treasure hunt. Ryan turned a family picture into a giant puzzle, with a clue on each piece. I went all over the house finding my clues. It ended with a link to a website and a little story from Ryan. It was very sweet. You can look here to see it, if you want.
I walked out to pick up my class in the morning on Thursday and each of my students was holding a bright flower for me. Made my day.
On Friday, my actual birthday I went to the spa for the morning, a gift from my sweetie, and picked up the boys after lunch. We had family fun night later that day and I spent the evening dressed up as Wonder Woman, passing out candy to the little kids.
Our superhero family was a big hit at the party.
Ryan made reservations for us and my family at The Cliff House in San Francisco on Saturday night. It was awesome. I put my feet in the ocean, watched some Giant's baseball, and ate until my stomach hurt. These pictures were taken on my iPhone under the mood lighting of the restaurant, so they don't do us justice.
The one who made it all happen.
We both feel so lucky that we found each other. We make a good team.
Kelly- the sister I never had. Love this girl.
KENT! I am so glad he was in the state to be able to celebrate with me.
It's been a lot of years since it's been possible.
Duane and my Mama.
So grateful for both of them. 30 years is a long time to put up with someone like me!!
And dessert. One mustn't forget dessert. It was delicious.
Here's to the next 30 wonderful years
