Trim the tree, look and see...

Cutting down our Christmas tree is one tradition, that no matter how busy, I fight to keep. I love being able to spend time together as a family in the crisp winter air, picking our perfect tree. This year I was able to get a spectacular price ($25!) through Groupon, which made it all even better.

The forest of trees was exciting for the boys, especially Aaron, since he wanted to walk all by himself, even up the hills.
Aaron inherited his nose wrinkle from Mommy, which is why I love this picture. If you can't tell, both Aaron and I are laughing and wrinkling our noses at each other.
Liam felt very important carrying around the saw for most of the morning. It was a big responsibility but he handled it well. When it came time to cut the tree, however, after one or two cuts, he willingly relinquished the saw to Daddy. It's a lot harder to cut down a tree than one might think!
We are quite pleased with our pick.
(when we got home we had to trim the top off the tree- it was a little bit tall)

Can't wait to get home and decorate it!
