A day in the wild

Thanks to my dear friend, Andy, we had the pleasure of picking (and picking, and picking) apples in his apple orchard.

On a Wednesday morning in September, we packed up three kids, some empty boxes, and drove to Sonoma County in hopes of bringing home apples and giving our kids a day in the wild. We accomplished all of our goals, and more, and wound up with more apples than we knew what to do with. I cannot tell you how refreshing it was to spend a little time getting dirt under our fingernails and eating fruit off the gorgeous apple trees. It's good to spend some time in nature.

Liam loved being in the trees almost as much as he loved being up on the ladder.
