Yes, I know I haven't been blogging in a very long time. It's two-fold really. I know that what everyone wants to see is pictures, not hear my commentary. I've been to lazy to upload any of the pictures from the camera to the computer which has given me one reason not to blog. Secondly, I have been feeling too tired to do anything outside of my "must-dos" (like laundry, cooking, the dishes, you know) to share my free time with the computer.
Today I had a nice time reading everyone else's blogs and started to feel a little guilty for not keeping mine up to date. I know what happens- people stop checking on them, and then no one is reading, which then keeps me from blogging. An ugly, vicious cycle.
So right now I am going to give an update on how life has been since April 28th (I think that was the last posting) and my goal is to get back on track with the pictures and everything else in the next week.
May:
- Mother's Day: new patio furniture, cinnabon for lunch, and out to dinner at Santana Row.
- Visit to Santa Rosa: I haven't been to SR since Thanksgiving, so Liam and I trekked up for a (RAINY!) visit. We saw friends and all of Liam's Grammies and Papas from my family. We also had an interesting and exciting visit from the fire truck.
- Open House at my school: lots of room cleaning and decorating with my fantastic teaching partner. It was a success, but it is time-consuming process to get to the Big Day.
- Liam's 2nd Birthday: Where, oh where does the time go? He is two! Talking like a maniac, running, throwing, galloping (yes, really!) and has discovered his willfulness. On the 29th we had a nice day with just the three of us at the park and lunch at McDonalds. What a treat a happy meal can be. (: Many different visitors joined us randomly to celebrate- we didn't do a big party this year. I wasn't up for it, and I knew Liam wouldn't remember. Thank you notes are in the works!!
- Liam's 2 year dr visit: All is well. He is 3 feet tall (90%) and weighs 33 lbs (75%). He is a big boy, but proportionate.
June:
-End of the school year for Ryan and Michaela: nothing much more to say but a "hooray!" The lead-up included report cards for Michaela, finals and grades for Ryan, and lots of room cleaning and summer-readying for the both of us.
- Visit from Ryan's family: fun weekend with the grandparents
- Pre-Father's Day celebrations: Ryan got a child's bike seat for the back of his bike. The boys are currently on a ride to the park.
- Van Buying: we haven't purchased one yet, but we are making the plunge into family-hood! This will be the first vehicle that Ryan and I are purchasing- ever- if you can believe that.
OK- now do you see where my time has gone? Summer is here and Ryan is home so I should be able to get my act together. Oh and did I mention that I am 32 weeks pregnant? Maybe that has something to do with the fact that I am tired and !! 8 weeks to go until Baby Shull arrives. I have a LONG list of to-dos and hopefully we can accomplish half!
