The Oakland Zoo was our outing for today. Have I said how much I LOVE the summertime?

I must say, it is a beautiful zoo, it is filled with every animal you would hope to see at the zoo, and it is set in the lovely Oakland Hills. If you haven't been, it's a great day-trip with the family. Our favorite parts were the monkeys and the elephants. We got to see them being fed, and they sprayed water all over themselves. Liam thought that was great!

My favorite part of the whole zoo wasn't even an animal. It was a big cement snake that I crawled between. It made me crazy silly!

And last, but not least, ice cream at Loard's Ice Cream Parlor in San Leandro, a mile from the zoo.

All-in-all a fun, relaxing day at the zoo.
